A Westin Colonnade Wedding

Last weekend we decorated a wedding at the classic Westin Colonnade Hotel in Coral Gables. We used soft hues of white, blush, and light green for an elegant, romantic feel to this ceremony and reception.

We decorated the ceremony site with white and ivory flowers and a crystal garland to compliment the crystal Chiavari chairs.

The bride carried a cascading bouquet of Cattleya Orchids, Cymbidium Orchids, Dendrobium Orchids, Phalaenopsis Orchids, and Stephanotis.

The bridesmaids had nosegays with cream and antique pink Roses, light peach Spray Roses, and white Freesia.

We decorated the ceremony steps with candlelight - this is where the bride makes her entrance before walking down the aisle.

The place card table was decorated with a bed of Hydrangeas, Roses, Orchids, and Lilies, with Manzanita branches decorated with Orchid heads, hanging candles and crystals.

In the reception area we created three different designs for the tables, all featuring a mix of Hydrangeas, Roses, Orchids, Spray Roses, Stock, and Hanging Amaranthus.

To decorate the fountain, the main focal point of the room, we placed a tall centerpiece with Hydrangeas, Orchids, and Curly Willow branches with hanging candles, Rose petals and Gerbera Daisies in the water, and votive candles around the ledge.

Here are a few pictures of the Rotunda ballroom. It's a breathtaking setup, especially with the pin lights highlighting each table and all the votive candles lit.

Luana and Jon's Hawk's Cay Wedding

Hello readers,

It hasn't been long, but since our kind and talented friends Victoria and Gaelle at Studio 1791 Photography were nice enough to share these photographs with us, we just couldn't wait to show them to you.

Luana and Jon were married at the Hawk's Cay Resort in Duck Key. Luana, being Brazilian, wanted lots of bright colors used in her wedding: plum, orange, hot pink, green, and yellow!

The ceremony took place outside on a perfect day. Here is the gazebo, beautifully decorated with strands of purple Dendrobium Orchids.

Gazebo decor

For the bride we created a bouquet with mango Mini Calla Lilies highlighted with green Cymbidium Orchids.

The groom matched with a green Cymbidium Orchid boutonniere, highlighted with a Guinea feather, Seeded Eucalyptus, and Horsetail.

And for the bridesmaids, a nosegay with a mix of orange and purple Mokara Orchids.

For the two flower girls to carry, we create a floral "purse" with Spray Roses and Misty Limonium, and a basket made of Horsetail with petals to scatter.

Our design for the outdoor place card table was a vase with green Cymbidium Orchids inside, topped with orange Lilies, Roses and Spray Roses, Mokara Orchids, and Misty Limoinium.

The party then moved indoors for the reception, and tables decorated brightly with a mix of vibrant colors: Roses and Spray Roses, Mokara Orchids, Mini Calla Lilies, Tulips, Orchids, Lilies, Veronicas, and touches of yellow Solidago and purple Misty Limonium.

Melanie's Wedding

On Sunday was a beautiful wedding at the Deauville Beach Resort in Miami Beach. The ceremony took place in a room with stunning views of the beach and ocean, with the reception in a large ballroom. This wedding had an elegant and ethereal theme in the decor, using white Orchids, Roses, Tulips, Hydrangeas, and Lilies, with accents of butterflies, crystals, and greenery throughout.

Beginning with the ceremony, where we created this custom Chuppah:

Sandra and Joe's Wedding

On August 1st we had the wedding of Sandra and Joe at the Rusty Pelican restaurant overlooking the bay in Key Biscayne. The views, flowers, and bride were lovely and everything came together great. We used a bright fall color scheme throughout the decor.

First we have the bride's bouquet, with ivory Roses, cream Roses, blush Spray Roses, cream Mini Calla Lilies, and white Stephanotis with pearl pins.

Here are the bridesmaids bouquets, with sunset and red Roses highlighted with green Hypericum Berries.
